A short fragment of the story
I remember a class on community intervention in which we analyzed a labor inclusion project. Many classmates highlighted the program’s effectiveness based on the number of placements achieved. I intervened and asked if we knew how many of those people were women, what kind of jobs they had gotten, and whether work-life balance had been taken into account. The professor acknowledged that this had not been analyzed. That simple observation changed the way we approached the analysis and allowed us to discuss the differential impact of employment policies on women and men.
