Women 4 Future

Women4Future – WOMEN PARTICIPATION FOR THE FUTURE  OF EUROPE

CERV-2023-CITIZENS-CIV  Project 101148156

THE PROJECT

What is the role of women in today’s European scenery?

How much weight does their voice carry in the context of political decisions, and how important is their struggle for rights in a sociocultural context where discrimination of minorities is still rampant?

The Women4Future project aims to address these questions and many others, with the goal of building together with participants a new awareness regarding the urgency of social and political actions to counteract all forms of gender violence and discrimination.

To establish the foundations of an inclusive and participatory future based on the respect of rights established at the European level, it is necessary to begin with education and to act on the symbolic system upon which the power of the patriarchal system rests.

It is necessary to investigate the political, social and cultural importance of women’s actions to show effective paths of empowerment that can be promoted and followed by the new generations.

The project  aims at all this through the joint contribution of nine partner organizations which have made the promotion of active participation and the fight for equal rights their mission and that, through their experience and professionalism, will propose a path of two years devoted to the construction of new awareness and to the formulation of new proposals to be addressed to the European political spheres.

The objectives:

  • educating participants about inclusivity and gender equality through the exploration of European experiences that have contributed and continue to contribute to building the foundations for a gender-equal society
  • demonstrating, through the project activities, the importance of women’s participation in democratic life, with the perspective of increasing awareness regarding women’s roles in civil society and inspiring new generations toward paths of active participation
  •  reaffirming on an experiential level the importance of building a present and a future that do not tolerate any form of discrimination, that are inclusive, participatory, and based on the respect of rights established at the European level.
