Enhancing Mentoring Skills Of Sport Coaches
Khalida Popal is the former captain of the women's national football team of Afghanistan. Sport has been for Khalida, since her childhood, a way to defend women's rights. In 2021 she had to flee Afghanistan, because her life was in danger, as an activist. She took refuge in Denmark, where she founded the Girl Power organization, which works through sport for the rights of women and minorities.

In this video Khalida tells her story of social engagement through sport. It is a particularly significant story at this moment, in which Afghanistan seems to be precipitating a dark past, with the return of the Taliban. For Khalida, sport has always been a vehicle for affirming the rights of women and minorities in general.
