A story about volunteering for an LGBTQI+ charity at Christmas
A short fragment of the story

Christmas can be a hard time of year when you don’t have a family to go to. This is the reality for many of us queer people whose families haven’t been able to accept our identities. Though I’ve spent some Christmases with friends, you don’t get a sense of belonging, and I decided last year I wanted to help people like me, so I decided to spend Christmas day volunteering for a charity that supports LQBTQI+ people at Christmas.
