Io ero talmente rattristato e allo stesso tempo imbarazzato che cercai di tranquillizzarla dicendo che si trattava solo di un giorno e non mi sarei fatto più vedere. Lei annuì. Abbiamo cominciato a chiacchierare, una chiacchera di qua e una di là sulla sua vita, su che lavoro avesse fatto e cominciai a vederla più sciolta e meno fredda.
