My Grandmother’s scissors
YoMem - Young Messengers of European Memory
In this story, DM tells us about the scissors that belonged to her grandmother
A short fragment of the story

A pair of scissors… A seemingly banal object, but which can hide many emotions.

Of course they have their originality in that they are foldable, take up little space and are easy to transport without risk, but their sentimental value comes from the fact that they belonged to my grandmother who bought them in Spain, and every time my thoughts go to her, her scissors inevitably impose themselves on my mind.

As a child, sharing moments of complicity with her, I could not have imagined that such a small object could fix so strongly in my memory her tender memory.

I used to bring these practical scissors with me during my several trips organized in Europe with my husband.
