New narrations for the future of Europe

The Erasmus+ project New narratives for the future of Europe has helped to engage young people in a path to promote social actions to support sustainable development and social change through the power of life stories with the aim of building possible new narratives for the future of Europe and the planet.
The project targeted young people and youth workers from various European countries such as Italy, Germany, Turkey, Poland and Sweden and used methodologies such as video interviewing, photo storytelling, storytelling and autobiographical writing to co- create digital narratives in presence and at a distance.
The FuturE project realised several products designed to offer young people digital tools and spaces to foster their engagement in environmental sustainability and social change:

R1 – R1 – A handbook for youth workers, containing step-by-step descriptions of more than 10 educational activities aimed at using storytelling to engage young people in actions for social change.

The manual aims to help anyone who wants to get involved in facilitating educational activities, exercises and workshops based on the theme of environmental sustainability.

R4 – R4 – An app to create narratives in support of sustainable development in Europe and around the world. It is a tool that accompanies anyone who wants to tell a story on a path of creation and storytelling.

Through the app, storytellers can draw inspiration, work on their stories directly from their mobile phones and publish them directly in FuturE’s digital archive.
The App proposes narrative paths related to two different thematic areas:
– Actions for environment
– Me in nature

R5 – R5 – A digital platform that aims to engage young people in social actions to promote sustainable development and social change, through the power of creativity and life stories.

The FuturE platform is a digital archive hosting all stories related to environmental sustainability and struggles for change.

The archive already hosts all the stories created by participants in the project activities and allows anyone to tell their own and consult those already present.
