ComE – Community Education for Social Inclusion of Migrants

Community Education for Social Inclusion of Migrants – ComE

Key Action 2: Small Scale Partnerships partnerships in adult education

AGREEMENT n°  2021-2-IT02-KA210-ADU-000051369

GOAL OF THE PROJECT

Sharing practices of social inclusion of migrants carried out according to an “Educating Community” approach.

This model considers it essential to build an effective and operational dialogue between territorial subjects who can carry out an educational and, as in this case, welcoming function.

We are talking about practices such as:

– widespread reception, which allows for greater integration with the inhabitants;

– recreational, sporting and cultural activities involving migrants and locals;

– teaching of L2, carried out not only at school but in daily practice;

– assistance based on the local network, and the resources that the local area can make use of (language school, sports and cultural associations, professional centres, psychological assistance, etc.);

– orientation and professional training activities, thanks to cooperation with local professional training bodies.

The ComE project produced, in terms of material results:

Three transnational events were held:

  • A Training Event in Denmark, for sharing practices of social inclusion of migrants.
  • A Training Event in Germany on the theme of developing supportive and inclusive communities through an educating community approach
  • A Training Event in Italy to increase operators’ knowledge on inclusion practices aimed at migrants.

The project took place from 01-04-2022 to 31-03-2024
