Everyone talks about recycling, but what about upcycling?
Environment Young StoryTellers - EYST
Prodromos participated in a youth exchange in Ponte de Lima, Portugal, focused on sustainability and upcycling, where participants collected and repurposed waste into art, culminating in a "Trashibition" event to showcase their creations and highlight the impact individuals can have on climate change.
A short fragment of the story

Prodromos had participated in a youth exchange that took place in Ponte de Lima, Portugal. The project topic was about sustainability with a focus on upcycling. Prodromos along with the other participants gathered various materials and waste from the city, stores and the project itself. For example, throughout the week they were using various materials for the project itself (e.g. paper, markers, bottles, and paper dishes). They then reused and repurposed that stuff to create pieces of art. At the end of the youth exchange, they hosted an event called “Trashibition”, where they showcased their creations in the local community of Ponte de Lima.
